Edoardo II: Reviews & Ratings
We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The quality and preparation of dishes was outstanding. The attentive service and ambience was truly great. We highly recommend. The staff was so warm and engaging... we felt comfortable as if we were at home. We observed the owner visiting all the patrons throughout the evening to ensure that everything was going well.
Outstanding food and service. We made a point of returning twice, it was that good
I’ve visited this restaurant twice during two separate getaway trips to Rome — and this time, I really wanted to take a moment to write a review and share my experience with fellow travelers. First of all, the food: absolutely delicious. The desserts are homemade and truly wonderful — we indulged in every bite and were blown away by the flavors and the quality of the cuisine. You can really taste the love and care in every dish. Secondly, and just as important: the service was outstanding. The lady who took care of our table was incredibly kind and welcoming. On this second visit, I brought my mother along, who has quite a few dietary restrictions. Despite that, the waitress kindly adapted the dish to suit her needs, removing or adding ingredients with so much patience and grace. It made a huge difference to us, and we felt genuinely cared for. So here’s my heartfelt thank you — and a strong recommendation: if you’re in Rome, don’t miss this spot. It’s a wonderful experience all around! ????????
Food was outstanding. Mussels, pasta, steak were all delicious. The minestrone soup is the soup by which all others shall henceforth be judged. Service was delightful. In particular there was a young man, whose name I sadly didn’t get, that was one of the best and most friendly servers we’ve had in Italy. We were very impressed by him. Anyway, highly recommend this restaurant and the outdoor seating is in a charming little street that just feels like you’re having a nice meal in one of the world’s oldest greatest cities.
The food is good. Service is also great. But there’s one thing I don’t understand. I was charged with 2 euros coperto fee. But no bread was served. I got charged by only using their table? How am I supposed to know that I can ask for bread as a foreigner? I didn’t order pizza or pasta. My whole meal was with no carbs. I really don’t think it’s reasonable.
Beautiful restaurant in a small alley. We were served by Francesco and the food and service were so good that we had to come back at the next day. Tiramisu was amazing. Food is fresh and our server was the best I ever had. I worked for 15 years in gastronomy and I was amazed. I will come back in my next trip to Rome.
Our meals were outstanding! The service was great and for a hot evening they had a nice fan outside so it made for a more comfortable atmosphere. Started with some bruschetta and caprese and followed that with some Rigatoni, Ravioli, sliced steak and Sea Bass. All was outstanding! Ended the evening with Pistachio Tiramisu and Chocolate Orgasmo (Lava Cake).
Is a nice small restaurant, food was ok, but a little disappointed. Place was wonderful decorated and personal friendly. But i believe a little extra sparkle in taste would help. On the other hand, the evening at their place was enjoyable.
